Is "The Stream" an alternative school?

While many use the word "alternative" for non-conventional settings, we prefer to think of The Stream as a Seamless Education model. We follow the 5-3-3-4 pattern of education, focusing on the child's psychological development rather than a rigid factory-style assembly line.

What board do you follow?

We follow the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) curriculum for Classes 10 and 12. NIOS is a national board recognised by the Government of India, and students can pursue higher education in India and abroad with NIOS certification.

How do you teach core subjects like Science and Math?

We follow a Play-First, Concept-Follows Gradually approach. Physics is discovered in the gym; Biology in our gardens; Chemistry in the kitchen. Math uses Vedic formulae to build number sense before NIOS/NCERT concepts are introduced.

What happens when my child reaches Grade 8?

From Grade 8 onwards we align with the NIOS syllabus. While maintaining experiential roots, we begin guiding students in exam skills—time management and paper navigation—allowing them to perform well without conventional board-exam trauma.

Is transport available?

Yes, we operate school buses from key points in Kengeri, Bangalore South, India.

When does the academic year start?

Our academic year typically begins in June.
